PBL has its roots in the turnkey digital playout system business. Operating successfully for over five years the PBL team established one of the larger multi-channel environments based on its systems, which it continues to support with respect to this particular installation on a software maintenance only basis to this day.

The reputation for the PBL Automation System (PAS) has been formed by demonstrating the system’s reliability and development potential in a live production scenario.

PBL’s proven technologies include highly reliable multi-channel redundant hardware using specialised software and support, backed by a tested suite of support and maintenance procedures.

PBL has always owned the intellectual property for its software system and deployed it on a range of proven IT building blocks, an approach that has set it apart from the competition.

PBL’s unique position in the marketplace is derived from its flexibility, reliability, and potential development expertise. By retaining software development in-house, PBL is able to respond more quickly and cost-efficiently, to its clients’ requirements.

In less than a year the successful migration of the business into PBL Managed Service Solutions has been completed. PBL now has two state-of-the-art playout centres offering professional services by friendly fully-trained personnel in a technically advanced environment to its clients.
