PBL MSS Channel Playout Centres
PBL Managed Serviced Solutions have recently opened two state-of-the-art Playout Centres in Central London. Both are co-located with international satellite carriers, one in Russell Square in the Telenor building, the second in Grays Inn Road. These two 24-hour, fully-managed operations, offer multi-channel playout and streaming environments. They incorporate original PBL software and hardware designs for multi-channel enhanced playout services. Services include programme playout with multi-language audio capabilities, subtitling, logo as well as text and graphics insertion and mixed effects packages. PBL playout offers remote scheduling, ingest 24/7, disaster recovery, and customer local support, to all their broadcast clients. The PBL playout centres are designed specifically to meet the demanding requirements of cross-platform, multi-format, and multi-channel operators.
PBL’s playout technology and software solutions are hardware-independent. Developed on open platforms they are able to take advantage of cost-efficient yet proven technology. The system contributes hugely to the development and implementation of new services in the single channel or multi-channel environment.
